CARTESS Communicator:

1. allows calls to be made to the car, and for communications to take place between the caller and the occupants of the car through a speaker and a microphone, PRIVATELY over the cellular network;

2. allows the driver or any occupant of the car to make calls from the car to any telephone;

3. provides an extra feature to broadcast a voice through the siren and talk anything, thereby creating attention around the car, or communicating with people around it.

CARTESS Remote Monitor:

1. provides the capability to be armed using a remote or any telephone. Upon being armed, the CARTESS Remote Monitor calls the driver or any nominated person when the door opens, the ignition is forced or the battery terminals unplugged, allowing the driver or any nominated person to remotely monitor the vehicle against theft.

2. provides the capability for any person who has access to the password, or who CARTESS Remote Monitor has called, to be able to listen-in and monitor what is happening inside and around the car from any phone.

CARTESS Emergency Alerter:

 1. provides the capability for the driver or any occupant of the car to alert any nominated person during any emergency through a phone call by pressing a button. Upon answering the call, the called party is able to listen-in and monitor what is happening inside the car (if the Remote Monitor is installed), as well as communicate with the occupants to establish what is going on, and call for appropriate help.

CARTESS Remote Controller:

1. allows any person who has access to the password, or who the CARTESS Remote Controller or the CARTESS Emergency Alerter has called to be able to stop and immobilise the vehicle from any telephone. CARTESS Remote Controller ensures that once immobilised by phone, the car can only be unimmobilised by phone again, upon entering a password. This feature makes the remote and the car keys useless once executed, by ensuring that no-one can start the car even when they have access to the remote and the keys.

2. allows any person who has access to the password, or who CARTESS has called, to be able to lock the car doors (and arm CARTESS at the same time) from any telephone. Upon being locked by telephone, the car doors can only be unlocked by telephone again (and CARTESS disarmed at the same time), upon entering a password. This feature makes the remote and the car keys useless once executed, by ensuring that no-one can open the car without causing an alarm, even when they have access to the remote and the keys .

CARTESS Locator:

1. allows for the location of any single vehicle or a group of vehicles to be established by SMS or on a map over the Internet;

2. allows for vehicles nearest to a selected area to be established on a map over the Internet - this could be any area within the country;

3. allows for the system to be set to send periodic SMS location updates of any vehicle by time (e.g. every hour) ;

4 . provides the means to receive SMS alerts when a vehicle enters or leaves a specific area.
