1. CARTESS works independently, and does not interfere with the operation of other systems installed in a car, such as tracking devices or alarms.

2. CARTESS can be accessed from any telephone.

3. CARTESS is user-friendly. It uses voice menu prompts for interaction, and does require you to remember any special commands.

4. CARTESS is not completely reliant on the vehicle's battery for power. It uses its own back-up battery when the vehicle's battery terminals are unplugged.

5. CARTESS is always active. You do not need to call any control room or call centre to activate it during an emergency.

6. CARTESS is easy to maintain. It only needs airtime to ensure that it can make calls. If a contract SIM card has been opted for, then there is no maintenance at all.

7. During an emergency, CARTESS removes the human deficiency element that are normally experienced with security companies such as thoughts of false alarms, all operators being busy, one operator attending to many requests at a time, tiredness, and unsatisfactory working conditions, by interacting only with one person under all conditions and circumstances.

8. CARTESS uses proved technologies for its operation. They are the GSM cellular network and the telephone for application access, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) for managing calls, and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) for interacting with the user.

9. CARTESS is a secure software application. No-one can access the CARTESS application without a password, unless the person is called by the CARTESS Remote Monitor or the CARTESS Emergency Alerter.
